What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored by a website on your device. Some are necessary for security, navigation or functionality. Others can measure how a website is used or support advertising. Similar technologies, such as local storage, may be used for comparable purposes.
Necessary technology
The hosting platform may use strictly necessary security or session technology to deliver the website and protect it from misuse. Necessary technology cannot always be disabled because the website may not operate correctly without it.
Optional analytics and advertising measurement
With your permission, we use Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads measurement to understand how the website is used and whether our Google ads lead to enquiries. This only happens after you select “Accept” in the cookie banner. Until then, the Google scripts are not loaded and no optional cookies are set. If you select “Reject”, nothing optional is used.
When you accept, Google may store cookies on your device: Google Analytics cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID, kept for up to two years) and Google Ads measurement cookies (named _gcl_au, and _gcl_aw if you arrived from one of our ads, kept for up to 90 days). They hold a random identifier, not your name. They let us see which pages are visited, which links are used, including enquiry, booking, download and ScreenZeno links, and whether a visit that started from a Google ad went on to an enquiry. If you arrived from an ad, the ad’s click reference is recorded with the page address. Other parts of the address, such as anything typed into a form, are removed first.
We use this for measurement only. We do not use it for remarketing or personalised advertising, Google signals is switched off, and we do not intentionally send names, email addresses, telephone numbers or enquiry details to Google. Your choice is remembered on your device so that we do not ask on every page.
External services
Following a link to ScreenZeno, Microsoft appointment booking, Google Maps or a social-media platform takes you to another service. That provider may set its own cookies under its own policy. Those external cookies are controlled by the provider rather than by this website.
Changing your choice
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” button at the foot of every page. Choosing “Reject” stops optional measurement from that point. You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings, although blocking essential technology may affect how the website works.
