BPerfect Cosmetics wanted the wow factor for its largest megastore yet at Rushmere Shopping Centre in Craigavon. Digi Sign delivered two custom-built curved Dicolor LED displays, a range of commercial LCD screens and bespoke four-tier LED lighting. The screens and lighting were ready for the store opening following a two-week on-site installation under a very tight deadline.

The project brought together BPerfect’s owners and management, Digi Sign and Dicolor head office to develop the LED installation. For the lighting, BPerfect supplied the design drawing and we provided the technical knowledge to specify, manufacture and supply the finished system.

Checking the fit before installation

One of the main challenges was getting the curved LED screens to fit correctly with the store furniture. The curves and the furniture needed to come together accurately on site.

We worked from the plans, produced a CNC-cut template and carried out a dry fit to check the fitment first. This gave us a physical way to check how the curved display would meet the furniture before proceeding with the final installation.

Making room for the shop shutter

The 9-metre-wide LED installation also had to accommodate the shop shutter. We built the display in two sections, with the shutter passing down through the centre between them.

That arrangement allowed the curved LED installation to occupy its intended position while keeping the shutter’s operating path clear. It was a specific design requirement that had to be considered alongside the display shape and its fit with the surrounding furniture.

Screens and lighting throughout the store

Alongside the two curved LED displays, we supplied a mix of commercial LCD screens, from wide-format displays to touchscreens and high-vibrance screens.

The bespoke four-tier lighting was another part of our scope. BPerfect supplied the design in a drawing; Digi Sign provided the technical specification, manufacture and supply. We worked alongside Strabane Electrical to get the lights fitted.

Content designed and managed by Digi Sign

Our involvement also included the content shown on the LED screens. The LED system uses DSA signage software. Digi Sign designed, managed and updated the content for BPerfect.

This brought the physical display installation and its content together within our project responsibilities.

Ready for opening

The on-site installation took two weeks against a very tight deadline. The screens and lighting were ready for opening, and BPerfect was overwhelmed by the finished result.
