A consumer tablet or home smart display can look interactive in a short demo. Commercial touch equipment is built differently:

  • Duty: our PCAP and Android touch ranges are rated for 24/7 commercial use, not occasional home use
  • Touch technology: projected capacitive (PCAP) multi-touch, usually 10-point on our Android and PCAP monitor ranges, suited to public or counter use
  • Mounting and enclosure: wall, freestanding, open-frame or kiosk, with planned cable routes and service access
  • Software: built-in Android players for many information apps, or Windows / OPS PC options when the application needs a full desktop operating system
  • Warranty: 3 years on our commercial touch screens

Content and software

Touch hardware still needs a clear content and application plan. Where the display or player supports it, content software such as ScreenZeno, MySignagePortal or DSD can handle uploading content, scheduling and managing one screen or several. Self-service ordering apps, Windows kiosk software and classroom annotation tools are separate, and we confirm which software you need before quoting licences.

Zoe can prepare on-brand layouts where signage content sits alongside the touch application, while Raphael and Corey handle the technical delivery and aftercare. Any recurring software fees are set out in your quotation.

We start with a free survey covering how people will use the screen, software compatibility, the enclosure or wall, cable routes, power, network, ambient light, screen height and safe service access. We then supply, mount, commission and hand over, so your staff can run the system with confidence.

Do I need a commercial touchscreen, or will a tablet do?

For public, counter or all-day business use, choose a commercial PCAP or interactive display rated for that use and mounting. Consumer tablets are a different kind of product. We compare commercial options against your software and location.

Android touch screen or PCAP monitor with a separate PC?

Choose an Android PCAP touch screen when a built-in player suits your app. Choose a PCAP monitor when your application runs on Windows or another external computer, or when you need an open-frame or custom kiosk. We confirm compatibility before ordering.

Can you supply self-service ordering kiosks?

Yes. Start with our self-service kiosks and tell us about your ordering application, printer and payment requirements. We check that the software works with the hardware before quoting, so you get a complete, working system.

Do you cover Northern Ireland and Ireland?
